Scalable Informatics is known for our extremely fast storage and computing systems. JackRabbit has out-performed the competition in many tests, at end user sites, and with real workloads. Now JackRabbit finally has some real competition. Meet siFlash,™ Scalable Informatics’s newest storage system. Featuring PCIe- or SSD-based flash storage, siFlash slices through the data bandwidth wall and demolishes the IOP barrier!
siFlash has demonstrated random reads and writes exceeding 1M IOPs to and from storage using 8k files and a 30% write mixture. Utilizing PCIe based Flash cards, siFlash has demonstrated a sustained 8+ GB/s on streaming data operations. Utilizing SSD based Flash devices, siFlash has demonstrated more than 7GB/s, and 220k IOPs for a 24 drive system, and approximately double that for a 48 drive system. With the RAID Attached siFlash, we have measured up to 60k IOPs at over 1 GB/s per unit.
At the higher end of the spectrum, several of our financial services customers have benefitted from 7+ GB/s siFlash-SSDs unit used for NFS, file, and web service. Other customers use siFlash as metadata servers for various parallel file systems, very fast NFS and CIFS data storage units, cache for RAID units, and similar extreme-performance use cases. siFlash is perfect for next-gen sequencing, scientific and engineering computing, post production and special effects.
siFlash is available in capacities from 1,000 GB to 128 TB per unit. The siFlash system has multiple block target connectivity options, including 10 and 40 GbE, Infiniband, and 8 and 16 Gb Fibre Channel. In addition, siFlash provides NFS, CIFS capability, as well as GlusterFS, Ceph, Lustre, FhGFS, and OrangeFS support, and can do so while simultaneously providing block storage protocols such as iSCSI, iSER, FCoE, SRP, and others.
siFlash is available immediately. Please contact us to learn how siFlash can help your business excel!
