CXL
Definition
CXL (Compute Express Link) is an open interconnect standard built on PCIe that enables high-speed, low-latency communication between processors, memory, and accelerators. CXL allows memory expansion, sharing, and pooling across hosts, addressing the growing memory bandwidth demands of AI/ML workloads. CXL 3.0 supports memory sharing and switching fabrics, enabling disaggregated and composable infrastructure architectures.
